1 ENGLISH TRAINING PROGRAMME
1a. GENERAL ENGLISH (1-48 WEEKS)
- Beginner to advanced
- Concentrates on reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammar
1b. SPEAK EASY (1 - 48 WEEKS)
- Intermediate level
- Concentrates on improving pronunciation and English for social, travel or work placement situations
- Certificate: King's Certificate in English Language
1c. IELTS PREPARATION (1-12 WEEKS)
- Exam technique training
- Practice of key study skills
- IELTS qualification will assist in entry to university and other tertiary training
1d. JOB CAMP (UP TO 4 WEEKS)
- Pre-Intermediate level
- For students seeking volunteer or paid work
- An accelerated learning course run in the evenings
- Learn highly successful techniques for securing work
1e. WORKING HOLIDAY COURSES (UP TO 12 WEEKS)
- This is for those on working holiday visas
- The course includes General English (concentrating on speaking) and one of the following: Hospitality, Retail, Job Camp
- A feature if finding work through Castle Recruitments
1f. EVENING ENGLISH (1+ weeks)
- For students who work during the day but still want to improve their English.
- Runs from 6pm to 8pm, Monday to Thursday.
2 SCHOOL ENGLISH PROGRAMME
2a. HIGH SCHOOL PREPARATION (1-48 WEEKS)
- For students 13 – 18 years
- Designed as a transition course to a New Zealand high school
- Subjects may include but are not limited to: English, Mathematics and Science
2b. STUDY TOUR COURSES (2 TO 8 WEEKS)
- Individually designed to combine English learning with New Zealand (kiwi) style activities
- Special interest activities can be included such as: visits to High Schools, Universities, Teacher Training College, etc
- Also includes: skiing, kayaking, horse trekking, jet boat riding etc
2c. SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES

2d. MOTHER AND CHILD PROGRAMME (1-48 WEEKS)
- For mothers and their children (8 years plus)
- Mothers study at the adult school and their children at the Junior School (Christchurch)
- Children under 5 years may be able to be placed in an early childhood centre
3 HEALTHCARE PROGRAMME
3a. ENGLISH FOR NURSING REGISTRATION, ENR (26 WEEKS)
Important Note:
Pre ENR/ENR comes under King's accreditation for General English. ENR is an IELTS preparation course, focusing on nursing terminology for some of its topics. Please look on the NZQA website for details on King's Education degree and course accreditations
- An English course for foreign nurses wanting to gain NZ nursing registration.
- Primarily an IELTS preparation course students develop their English in a healthcare context while working part time in healthcare facilities, with the help of Castle Recruitments.

3b. AGED CARE EDUCATION, ACE (12-24 WEEKS)
- A course to train people how to take care of the elderly
- There is a possibility that this could lead to temporary work* in New Zealand through Castle Recruitments
* Subject to approval by Immigration New Zealand
4 TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME
Note: This course is under development and we are in the process of seeking course approval from NZQA
- This is designed to train New Zealand graduates how to teach English to overseas students for jobs in Asia
