CELTA - Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults, this is the main qualification our teachers hold and is the standard in New Zealand and internationally. This is a postgraduate qualification hence all our teachers also have a university bachelors degree.

IELTS - International English Language Testing System. This is a widely used English test that many universities and education providers use as an entry requirement. Students are tested on reading, writing, listening and speaking.

KEA - King's English Assessment. All our students are assessed on arrival and again weekly using our system and this is benchmarked against the IELTS system.

INZ - Immigration New Zealand. In 2006 our immigration department re-branded and changed their title from New Zealand Immigration Service to INZ. Students can study in NZ for 3 months on a WHV (Working Holiday Visa), visitors permit or a guardianship visa. If someone wishes to study for longer than 3 months they will require a student visa to do so. Visit www.immigration.govt.nz for more information.
