How does studying in New Zealand differ to studying in your home country?
Almost all students starting English language study in New Zealand have had previous experience of the language, whether at high school, university or a language school in their home country.
The styles of teaching and the theory behind successful language teaching techniques vary widely. A lot of teaching in non English speaking countries tend to be based around knowledge being given to students by the teacher; teachers tend to dominate and language learning is based around grammar, reading and writing.
